This one-day Summit offers an enjoyable way to get up to speed with the latest developments in lean construction, and provides many routes to deepening your understanding of lean – whether you are an experienced lean practitioner, or
have just some idea of what it’s all about. Networking is an important feature of the Summit – with space for both informal and facilitated networking included in the day.

Summit Themes
The 2014 Summit will focus on Lean Infrastructure. Two themes will run through the day:

Speakers
Graham Dalton has a back ground in civil engineering in both pub lic and private sectors. After professional training with British Rail, he worked with consulting engineer Mouchel delivering large port and power generation projects, then with contractor Bovis on major rail projects. | |
Professor Dan Jones is a management thought leader and advisor on applying lean, process thinking pioneered by Toyota to every type of business across the world. He is also the founding Chairman of the Lean Enterprise Academy in the UK, dedicated to pushing forward the frontiers of Lean thinking and helping others with its implementation. | |
Peter Hansford was appointed Government Chief Construction Adviser in December 2012. Previously, an executive director at the Nichols Group he engaged in strategic consulting and advising on infrastructure development and capital investment programmes. He has over 30 years’ experience in the delivery of major infrastructure and building projects. | |
Mike Putnam has worked in the construction industry for nearly 30 years, with the majority of his time spent leading and managing businesses. In 2012, Mike was appointed as co-chair to the Green Construction Board.. He is also a member of the Construction Leadership Council, overseeing the Industrial Strategy for Construction 2025. | |
Graeme Shaw is the Head of Transport for London’s Northern Line Extension, charged with building a new £1bn underground railway to Battersea Power Station. A Chartered Engineer and former Naval Officer, he has worked within the construction sector, both in an advisory role with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and as the delivery manager for a multitude of rail construction projects. |
Programme

Small Group Sessions
Delegates can select the small group sessions that they wish to attend during the day. Up to 20 people can attend each small group session. We recommend booking early for the Summit to ensure that you can attend your sessions of choice. More Information

Tickets cost £295.00 per person.
LCI-UK, Constructing Excellence and CIRIA members get a 10% discount, taking the cost down to £265.00.
Pre-Summit Meal
