As the UK’s leading voice for Lean in construction, LCI-UK provides structured pathways to support the practical application of Lean thinking across the sector. Our focus is on helping individuals and organisations build the skills needed to apply Lean methods effectively, reduce waste, and improve project outcomes.
Learning pathways are available for all levels of Lean maturity, from those new to Lean to experienced practitioners. These resources are designed to support consistent learning and implementation across the industry, contributing to a more efficient, collaborative, and productive built environment.
Lean Construction Standards CITB Approved Short Courses
LCI-UK are proud to hold 14 Lean Construction Standards with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) including workshops in Introduction to Lean, foundational Lean tools and progressive Lean Practitioner development.
Standards can be delivered as standalone one or two-part courses (dependent on the specification for each standard), or as part of the LCDP programme and are eligible for CITB grant funding if you are a levy registered company.
Currently 8 of these standards are also eligible for funding with CITB Northern Ireland and can be found via their training register
LCDP – The Lean Construction Development Programme
Working together with the CITB, client and partner companies, the supply chain and subject matter experts, LCI-UK has created the Lean Construction Development Programme (LCDP), an industry standard and competency framework.
This framework not only trains the workforce but also helps to strategically align improvement projects with client and partner goals for the benefit of the whole organisation to drive productivity, efficiency and create value.
LCDP is aided by a gold-standard Learning Management System that tracks progress of projects and individual achievements at every level.
