The North West Community of Practice (CoP) of the Lean Construction Institute UK (LCI-UK), a licensed charitable organisation, was founded in 2010 by LCI-UK Director Professor Lauri Koskela, through the Salford Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI Forum) at Salford University. The community is a forum for North West construction clients, contractors and consultants and aims to share, champion and promote the application of Lean principles throughout the project lifecycle, in order to realise benefits in efficiency through cross-discipline collaboration. This will be achieved through a combination of workshops, masterclasses, seminars, task forces and publications and a programme for the development of Lean practitioners.
