David Adamson MSc, Dip. Arch (L’pool) RIBA.

David is a Chartered Architect qualifying in 1979 and has worked for 8 years in Local Authority housing and for nearly 30 years in the nuclear industry for BNFL and Sellafield Ltd working on nuclear production plants both at Sellafield and Capenhurst. He was project architect for the National Nuclear Laboratory at Sellafield worth £270 million.

As an Engineering Capability Manager, David has specialised in energy efficiency and sustainability, which has led him to provide Company Standards in these areas, and gained a Masters Degree from UCLAN on researching sustainability in the nuclear industry. He was chairman of CIRIA’s Environmental & Sustainability Advisory Panel for 6 years and become interested in lean when invited by CIRIA to join a Project Steering Committee for the publication of Lean Construction in 2011 and a follow up series of Lean Guides in 2014.

He is acknowledged as the Company expert in lean having completed a Lean Six Sigma course in 2010 and has encouraged lean across Engineering and Construction at Sellafield. David was involved in the formation of the LCI-NW COP in 2011 and has been an active member in continuing to provide events in Manchester in promoting lean learning.
